The Therapy Process

STEP 1

Connect for Consultation

Begin by booking a free 15-minute video or phone consultation. You can ask about our training and experience and see if we would fit your expectations and needs well. The consultation will help you decide whether you’re comfortable starting therapy with us.
There is no obligation to book a session. If you want to, please proceed to Step 2.

STEP 2

Schedule a Session

The sessions are Mondays and Tuesdays from 9:00 am to 8:30 pm and Thursdays from 5:30 – 8:30 pm. Booking a session can be done right after the consultation or anytime when you’re ready.
Sessions are 50 minutes long.
Step 3

Get Ready for First Session

When you schedule your first session, you will receive a link to the Intake Application and Informed Consent Form. Kindly fill that out and submit it at least 24 hours before our first session.
Step 4

First Session

During the first session, the limits of confidentiality will be explained, and we will discuss what you would like to accomplish through therapy
Following each session, an invoice will be emailed to you. Payments can be made via e-transfer to info@newwayscenter.ca. After payment is received, you will receive a receipt that you can use to claim a reimbursement from your insurance company.
Step 5

Subsequent Sessions

The length and frequency of therapy vary widely and depend on the goals we establish at the beginning. Please give at least a 24-hour notice to reschedule or cancel your session or fees are applied. We will work towards your goals until you feel they are accomplished. You have absolute freedom to discontinue services at any time.
Step 6

Last Session

In our last session, we will celebrate, recognize, and create a summary journal of your growth and healing in therapy that you can take away.
